Empowerment & Leadership with Icelandic students
23 de enero del 2026 Students experiences
This week we welcomed the Icelandic students from Fjölbrautaskólinn School, who participated in an Empowerment and Leadership course where each day they had a different inspiring activity.
The first day they received a talk from a young influencer, Adrián Lorente Gracia @adrianlorenteg talking about his personal journey — from his first steps as a content creator to developing his own brand and projects. He discussed the realities of being an entrepreneur in today’s digital age, including creativity, resilience, and the importance of staying authentic while building an audience. Afterwards, an intern studente, Julia, who is currently participating in an Erasmus project gave a speech about her personal journey, motivations, and the challenges she has faced while pursuing international opportunities.
On Tuesday the students got to know Pedro Ripoll together with Rotary Inbound Youth Exchange students currently living in Tenerife. Pedro Ripoll is an adventurer and entrepreneur who successfully crossed the Atlantic Ocean without the use of engines and he shared his remarkable journey of courage, determination, and innovation. Coming from different countries and cultural backgrounds, the exchange students spoke about their unique experiences of adapting to life on the island and growing through international exchange.
The next day was spent doing a Creativity & Initiative Workshop to help students unlock their creative potential and strengthen their ability to take initiative in different areas of life — from school projects to future careers.
During day three the group visited Educational VET Center CIFP Adeje, where the students had the opportunity to learn about the different vocational programmes offered at the institution, such as for example tourism, hospitality and administration. The goal was to promote cultural and educational exchange, and inspire students by showcasing real learning environments connected to the labour market.
It was an amazing week we got to spend with the students and we hope, we could inspire them by showing some of the paths in life they can choose from.
