Erasmus+ Traineeship at Tenerife Job Training

After a two months experience in Tenerife I can finally report all the new tasks I have learned during this interesting and juicy traineeship in Tenerife. Firstly, I had the opportunity to be involved in a completely different work place, in which is present an atmosphere, based more on a teamwork, rather than an individual approach, where responsibilities are share as much as rewarding are join. Thanks to this method, it was also easier to confront each other’s point of views and compare different opinions.

Working at Tenerife Job Training allowed me to discover a different type of company that was new for me, which works since more than twelve years as intermediary agency for Erasmus and tourist intermediators developing and organising programs that are not presents in any country, with an eye on educational tourism in The Canary Islands.

The assignment in which I was involved such as students’ help with documents, presentation in their respective companies for the beginning of their internships, creation of certificates, folders and planning of the courses for staff mobility groups, gave me a more organised and active mind-set.

Another job that I found captivating and involving was related to the marketing field, whereby I used new tools, such as Canva, WordPress, Meta Business Suite for publishing and later answering, giving all the essential information on the social media platforms and that, gave me the enthusiasm to use my own creativity. Next to this, I worked with the web company system, updating and checking daily the clients’ database.

On the contrary, connected to the administration area, I could develop a meticulous approach, learning how to manage with invoices, deposits fund, receipt etc.  

A big advantage I really appreciate in working at TJT was to have the opportunity to practice and improve not only the Spanish language but also English, thanks to the clients’ different nationalities, appreciating also their culture and background.

I highly recommend an experience like this because students can, not only grown up and became more independent, but in the meantime enjoy the island, who offers a wide amount of activities and locations to explore during their stay.

Muchas gracias para la oportunidad que me habéis dado, pude aprender mucho no solamente del trabajo en el cual ponéis entusiasmo y devoción cada día, sino también de vosotras misma, de vuestra fortaleza y cariño. Han sido como una familia aquí. Gracias también por haber estados tan amables y pacientes conmigo y sobre todo por haberme dado mucha confianza en todos los trabajos que hice. Sois un verdadero “dream team”, con el cual fue un placer haber podido colaborar. Me llevaré este bonito recuerdo para siempre, con la esperanza de verlas lo más pronto posible.
