Tenerife Job Training works developing Educational Tourism in The Canary Islands

Hello everybody!
I would like to tell you all about my experiences during my placement period and my beautiful island Tenerife.
My name is Arzu, 23 years old, 3rd year student of Tourism & Recreation Management bachelors (total 4 years study) in the Netherlands.
During the 3rd year of studies, the students of my education are obliged to do a placement of 5 months in the management function. After a lot of applications in Europe I suddenly found the website ‘Tenerife Job Training’.
I engaged into contact with Marivi Gracia; (the manager of Tenerife Job Training). She helped me with the whole process of finding me a suiting placement company, accommodation, salary, contract, and if necessary: a language course.
Eventually I started my placement at a beautiful hotel in the south of Tenerife, whereby I have practiced the function of being a sub director.
I have worked 5 days a week, thereby learning how to manage different departments in the hotel. Next to that, I was supposed to make a placement assignment, whereby I have written a marketing plan for the business facilities provided in the hotel.
Currently I am finished with my placement period very successfully. I am thankful to Marivi, because she helped me a lot with finding me a proper placement company and dealing with the obligations required by me and my university.
After a period of 5 months on Tenerife, it was time for me to go back. It has been 10 days ago that I arrived back home and I have expanded my history again with beautiful memories on my time on the island.
Marivi ever told me: Arzu… I guarantee that you will fall in love with Tenerife. She was right!!!
I am in love with Tenerife…and Tenerife loves me. I have had a great time on the island and in the hotel, I made a lot of friends and I have learned even a new language.
I recommend you to definitely do your placement or internship on Tenerife. You should see it as a challenge in which you can take your initiatives in order to improve yourself in the utmost successful way. Think about it! You are not only having the advantage of putting your theory into practice in of the best hotels, but you also enjoy the lovely weather which is sunny all year round and the culture and language which is completely different compared to northern European countries.
Open your mind, broaden your mind and strengthen yourself as nothing else can!
